A Southern Soul

As Summer begins to wrap up, I’ve been trying to utilize all of my crop-top looks before that Fall breeze begins to kick in. If you know me, then you know I LOVE to eat and I love a good happy hour! Plus, nothing speaks to my soul more than good food and great fashion *cough cough* (ME). I decided to tap into this year’s Houston Restaurant Week, which benefits the local food bank in the city. I visited a restaurant called Blanco Tacos + Tequila located right next to the Galleria mall. They offered a 3-course meal pallet that was only $20 per person!! Can’t beat that! For starters, I had the warm white queso with lime tortilla chips. I can never pass up good queso! For my entree, I had the caramelized sweet potato enchiladas, which consisted of grilled portobello, kale, zucchini, manchego cheese, ancho chile sauce. These dishes were paired so nicely together! But, like the name states for itself…+TEQUILA! So, I couldn’t dine-in without indulging in my favorite liquor. However, none of their happy hour drinks that day caught my attention, so I opted out of that and ordered a flight of Casamigos reposado. My favorite cuisine is naturally Mexican food so I’m always a hard critic when I try new places. This was a fun vibe to test out and they have an open patio, great for pictures and a warm feel! 5 out of 5 stars for me!
