A Night at the Met Gala

The most anticipated gala of the year has come and gone yet again right in the heart of the big apple. Despite the date push back due to COVID, the celebs still showed up and SHOWED OUT making this year one of the most resilient shows yet. The Met Gala is known for its over-the-top costumes created by world-renowned designers and showcased by some of our favorite Hollywood stars! This year’s theme was American Independence, to embody the American style. From flashy and sparkle, butt cleavage, bold colors, the star-spangled banner, plus much more, these looks did the theme justice. Having the most memorable and creative look is always the top priority at an event like this. There were several jaw-dropping looks but these ladies caught my attention the most. Starting with fashion model Iman, who came in BOLDLY and stealing the show wore Dolce & Gabbana x Harris Reed. From head to toe, it was very sheik and high fashion. Next, coming in with a hot flaring red lace-up gown, Ms. Megan Fox wearing Dundas. Following suit, my favorite celeb aunty Mary J. Blige came in with her all gold deep thigh side slit complimented with a deep v-cut in the boob area, which was created by Dundas. My girl aka my “twin” Teyanna Taylor gave us BODY with her look, expressing that her inspo for her dress came from a rose in Harlem. Defienlety showcasing her New York roots, which was designed by Prabal Gurung. The never-aging J.Lo hit the theme right on the nail on if you ask me, she wore a plunge dress designed by Ralph Lauren. The cowgirl hat gave it a major Texan American theme, plus the big necklace. Lastly, if supporting my man was a person, my girl Ciara did Russel Wilson justice! This custom Seahawks dress was designed by Dundas, the football clutch and his Superbowl ring were the perfect accessories for this look. Overall, these A-list celebs came, saw, and conquered! Can’t wait to see what next year has in store.
